What data do we collect?

We collect your data to perform our services, to improve them and to inform you about our activities, our promotions or products and services purchased by you. You provide us with some of this data directly (for example, via forms on our website, your business card, your orders or in your emails with us) or we obtain this data via cookies on our websites.

User data: This allows us to identify or contact you, e.g. your name, your address, your telephone numbers, your language preference, your gender, your email addresses, your involvement in our promotions, your use of our websites, your age and your family composition;

Traffic data: This technical data ensures smooth electronic communication, e.g. your IP address.

Sensitive data: We do not process sensitive data.

Why do we collect this data?

We process personal data for a variety of reasons, each time processing only the data that is necessary for our purpose. With your consent, we collect personal data to the extent required for the following specific purposes:

To process your requests regarding our products and services

If you visit our websites or contact our sales and promotional staff to collect or request information about our products and services or if you sign up for our newsletter, for example, we need your address details. We will use all the information we receive about you to provide you with the requested information in the manner you have indicated.

To give you the best service

We keep your data to help us improve our customer service and to design, maintain and support our products and services correctly. This also allows us to contact you for the next step in our partnership or to ask for feedback on our services. If there are any technical problems or disruptions on our side, we must be able to inform you.

To inform you about our products, services and activities

We may use your data to inform you about existing and new products, services, special promotions, workshops, events, training courses, vacancies, etc., in order to carry out direct marketing or to create a profile about you so that we can inform you about matters we think may be of interest to you. We can do this either in writing, electronically or by telephone. We also use your data for the newsletters to which you have subscribed. You will only receive communication via email if you have given your explicit consent, provided that is required. We may also analyse your browsing and reading behaviour, and create content for our websites or newsletters that suits your needs. We do this by registering your visits and what you do during them, such as viewing pages or clicking on links. This also makes it easier for us to provide to the information you are looking for.

Who will manage your data?

All personal data is managed by Ecohuis bvba. Data is only accessible to persons within Ecohuis bvba who need to access it to perform their duties.

We work with external processors. This means that we temporarily pass on data to third parties for certain tasks if we do not have the resources ourselves to do so. If we do this, we will always ensure that your data is treated confidentially and securely. We always lay this down contractually with our processors. For example, a processor will never be allowed to use your data for its own purposes and your data must be deleted as soon as a processor has completed the tasks we have commissioned.

We may transfer your personal data to our legal successors and associated companies, such as subsidiaries and affiliates, for the same purposes as described in this Privacy Policy. For some aspects of our products and services, we work with third parties or engage subcontractors. Your data will only be transferred so that it can be processed for the same purposes as at Ecohuis bvba itself. We ensure that they, like us, manage your data securely and respectfully.

In some cases, we use anonymous, aggregated data for commercial purposes or for external reporting. This data can never be traced back to a particular person.

We will never sell or rent your data to companies or persons that are not part of our company or our group. We consider your information to be confidential information.

If we pass on personal data to third parties in any other way, this will be done with an explicit communication, in which an explanation is given about the third party and the purposes of the transfer and processing. Where required by law, we ask for your explicit consent. You also always have the option to object.

We protect your personal data and privacy to the fullest extent possible. Our employees are trained in handling confidential data correctly.
