When does this Privacy Policy apply?

This Privacy Policy applies when you visit our websites or contact our sales and promotional staff. By visiting our websites or contacting our sales and promotional staff, you consent to us collecting and using your personal data as described in this Privacy Policy.

What data do we collect?

Why do we collect this data?

To process your requests regarding our products and services

If you visit our websites or contact our sales and promotional staff to collect or request information about our products and services or if you sign up for our newsletter, for example, we need your address details. We will use all the information we receive about you to provide you with the requested information in the manner you have indicated.

Who will manage your data?

All personal data is managed by Ecohuis bvba. Data is only accessible to persons within Ecohuis bvba who need to access it to perform their duties.

If we do this, we will always ensure that your data is treated confidentially and securely. We always lay this down contractually with our processors. How do we secure your data?

We protect your personal data and privacy to the fullest extent possible. Our employees are trained in handling confidential data correctly. We also employ specialists who are responsible for the security of our IT infrastructure. Moreover, we also use all kinds of technical measures to protect your personal data. Access to your data, making corrections and having your data removed

You have the right to access your data. You can ask us if we process any of your personal data, the purposes for which the data is processed, what categories of data we process, which categories of third parties we share your personal information with, the source of the processed data and the software involved if we use automated personal data processing

This period starts once we have received your written request and have all the information required to fulfil your request.

To exercise your right of access and prevent any unauthorised disclosure of your personal data, we may ask for proof of your identity. We will not ask you for a copy of your identity card.

You also have the right to have any incomplete, incorrect, inappropriate or outdated personal data to be deleted or amended. To do this, please contact us by email or by post. If necessary, we will then amend this data within the statutory deadlines. We would like to make you aware that once we have carried out your request, it may be the case that we can no longer offer you some services. It may also be the case that we cannot delete all the data you have requested us to delete, for example because we are legally obliged to retain data for a certain period of time. To keep your data up to date, please report any changes to us.

No direct marketing

You have the right, without giving any reason, to object to your personal data being used for direct marketing purposes at any time. You can do this by contacting us by email or by post.

How long do we store your personal data for?

We will ensure that appropriate organisational and technical measures are in place to protect personal data. We are not allowed to retain personal data for longer than is necessary to achieve the purpose for which we collect this data. The retention period can therefore vary for each purpose and can sometimes be very short. After the applicable retention periods have expired, personal data will be completely anonymised or deleted. We process user data for up to a maximum of ten years after the last operational contact between us; for traffic data, this is a maximum of eighteen months.
